SPECIAL AWARD WINNERS

UNSUNG HERO
Peter Mwangi

For an ACC student who goes above and beyond, behind the scenes.

Peter has had a challenging time, however, despite this, he has remained an incredibly polite and well mannered young man who always strives to help his fellow students and be supportive to others. Peter is a well-liked student, who gets on well with his group. He is hardworking and diligent and has demonstrated enthusiasm for his studies throughout. He thrives in his written work which is usually detailed and of a very high standard. Peter also does voluntary work through his church in his spare time and is involved with helping at a local food bank.

YES I CAN AWARD
Arushi Sandhu

For an ACC student who faces, or has faced, a barrier to learning.

Arushi has had a difficult year: she has faced economic challenges (she has been working two different part-time jobs to help her family) and taken care of two of her classmates, who have also been dealing with their own struggles relating to mental health. Despite all this, she has managed to consistently produce the best work of her class, going the extra mile to present absolutely extraordinary graphic design pieces.

WELLBEING CHAMPION
Jaden Verrall

For an ACC student who has effectively supported and promoted awareness of wellbeing and mental health.

Jaden has shown to be very understanding of mental health struggles and has offered support to a friend who had social anxiety during the RSPB team project. This friend was uncomfortable with working in groups and Jaden has made sure that she could communicate properly with her group mates. Jaden has also shown support towards her when she has had panic/anxiety attacks during lessons.

BEST SOUND RECORDING
Sam Seivers

Sam has been a massive support throughout this year for all our music courses, by volunteering his services as a recording engineer in the studio. He has spent the time to learn and develop his understanding of recording equipment, the recording process and working with a range of students. As such he has recorded much material throughout the year and has been a constant in the studio, in a year of uncertainty.

LONDON GAMES AWARDS

Millie has completely surpassed all expectations in terms of artwork. Her technique and dedication to her art is astonishing and it's clear that it will carry on getting even better. She deserves this award for the sheer amount of practice she spends perfecting her craft.

BEST GAME DESIGN/ DEVELOPMENT

BEST PHOTOGRAPH
Marcy Oliveira

Marcy has displayed an outstanding level of creativity and dedication with this set of photographs. The "Find the alphabet in the wild" brief is a very tricky brief that our learners consistently struggle with. However, Marcy managed to find a solid concept that she executed beautifully. She also showcased art direction abilities by involving other classmates in the project. The shot shows creativity, ingenuity and absolute originality, a stunning end result!

BEST DESIGN
Tyler Simmons-Lovence

This was a project to conceptualise and design packaging for a new energy drink. Tyler chose to focus on a healthy drink option that he named Bia, named after a Greek goddess personifying force and power. The development and execution were spot-on all the way through the evolution. The final design, which is the concept and packaging for a healthy energy drink, is appealing, modern and classy, directly tapping into the audience that would be buying this product. Excellent work!

Joel started work on his game idea last summer, drawing concept art and game ideas in his sketchbook, all before the year had even begun. He put in a lot of effort in college and at home to make his game look professional. Given the limitations of using the Flowlab software, he produced a good, playable, multi-levelled demo of a top-down dungeon crawler.
