LINCOLN MUSIC AWARDS

BEST BAND
Violet Sky

Harrison Betts, Joel Greatorex, Oscar Town, Jake Connelly

During a tough year, this band have maintained their progress, starting the band in their own time and booking regular rehearsals. They have dedicated hours upon hours rehearsing and recording amazing material. If gigs were allowed to happen, this band would have been gigging regularly, but as it stands the only performances they have been able to do so far have been small live streamed such as that linked.

BEST SOLO ARTIST
Dannii Sara

Dannii is proactive in her songwriting and has had her music played out on BBC Introducing, solidifying her identity in the industry and backing this up with a great music video. She has done all of this with a number of life complications throughout her time but always has the end result in sight. She has also excelled in both years, obtaining a distinction grade in all of her assignments.

BEST PRODUCER
Chaz

Charlie brings an adventurous production style with him working with ambient tones to bring his electronic soundscapes to life. He doesn't fear stepping out of the norm to create his take on electronic music. Backed with a passion for playing live and DJing he should look to excel in his final year to be a high level producer.

COMPOSITION

Archy Tomas

A fantastic track layered with strong harmonies a grooving riff and a chorus that will ring around your head long after it has finished. All written, composed, performed and produced by Archy.

LINCOLN GAMES AWARDS

BEST GAME
Gayliens: Luke Salmon, Henry Ball, Jordan Clarke & Harrison Doxey

A brilliant display of teamwork across art and tech, early on in the academic year, created something funny yet thought provoking. This team worked very independently and utlised a great deal of time outside of class to fulfil the brief of their first games jam, following the theme of diversity.

BEST GAME ART
Percy Petruseviciute

Percy has a strong individual art style, which is amazing and inspiring! He commented: 'I have worked hard to develop my style and artwork more. I am finally being able to unleash my creativity more and I think that’s beginning to show within my art'.



BEST GAME DESIGN/ DEVELOPMENT
Planets: Logan King

Logan has developed some incredible work this year to a very high technical standard, all while working extremely independently and confidently trying new and innovative designs.

Alicia Woods: Mental Health in Young People Documentary

Alicia has produced an excellent documentary project in response to the theme: Mental Health in Young People.

Alicia has shown exceptional editing and software skills and implemented an array of videography techniques to produce a near professional final product.



BEST PHOTOGRAPH
Charlie Derbicz

Charlie has zoned in on developing not only her confidence and techniques, but also her own individual style of photo manipulation.

BEST DESIGN
Charlie Derbicz

Charlie took the time in lockdown and made it her own hub of creativity. She set her own studio space up at home, using a LED colour in light to create a set of stunning original photos, then set her mind to design a series of final portraits, implementing use of colour, typeface, layout and graphics.

STUDENT OF THE YEAR
Tatiana Perreira

Tatiana is a dedicated and talented vocalist and student that has maintained excellent attendance and achievement over the two years of her course, as well as being active in a number of other projects both self directed and as part of her group. Tatiana is tenacious in her studies and always aims to excel and, despite the occasional self-doubt of her ability, always tries exceptionally hard at everything she does.

Jack Tomlinson

Jack has shown a commitment to his studies and musicianship this year that has enabled him to make significant strides in what he has been able to achieve. The improvement that he has shown has not only been evident in the academic work that he has produced, but also as a musician, in his maturity and as a respected member of his cohort. Well done Jack and good luck in the future!

Megan Hayes

Megan is an exceptional learner, always striving to do more and always producing incredible work. She has shown great resilience throughout this year and has always been pushing herself to exceed in many different areas. As a games art student Megan shows excellent skills in not only traditional and digital art but with 3D modelling, showing a well-rounded skill set.

Melissa Burton

Melissa is a very positive individual and she has show vast improvements within her game development work and processes.

Russell Scott Murphy

Russ has consistently produced high quality professional level work in every project. He has developed and applied his own personal flair to all aspects of projects throughout the year, from start to finish - from every piece of research, idea generation, test shots, main production, editing and evaluation. Russ has placed his stamp on everything he sets out to do.

PROGRESS AWARD
Faustas Zideika

Over the past year, Faustas has been committed to both his own projects outside of ACC as well as assignments. His layering of professional experience has built up over the year and he is leaving this course as a well rounded creative individual. Faustas has developed a streak of independence and passion for digital production across film, design and music.

MATHS
PROGRESS AWARD
Nathan Donnelly

Nathan has had an extremely positive attitude right from the first session and continued all through the year. This resulted in great progress and overcoming anxiety with exams. This is a big contrast to last year where Nathan progressed slowly and generally had a negative attitude to his maths learning. By May he had passed his FS L1 maths exam and secured a place at university!

ENGLISH
PROGRESS AWARD
Daniel Waites

Dan is thought provoking, imaginative and splendid to teach. Every effort from Dan this year has heightened the lesson for both teacher and other learners in the class. I can say, without a doubt, that others in the class benefitted from Dan's presence, drive and thoughtful discussions.
